The L-LAB (short for "light laboratory") is a research institute concerned with automotive lighting and mechatronics, that is supported by the University of Paderborn and Hella KGaA in a Public Private Partnership. Both academic world and industry research.
Interdisciplinary project teams work out the fundamental aspects of future automotive lighting. This includes basic visual cognition research as well as the development of prototypes and technology demontrators. Students can contribute on the basis of either an internship, a diploma or doctoral thesis.
